Job Summary
- Install configure maintain and repair computer hardware software printers and network equipment.
- Provide first-line technical support to Council staff across departments.
- Monitor and maintain Council networks internet connectivity email systems and user accounts.
- Troubleshoot ICT faults and ensure timely resolution of system challenges.
- Ensure data security through routine backups antivirus management and adherence to ICT policies.
- Maintain and update ICT asset registers and documentation.
- Assist in ICT procurement system upgrades and implementation of new technologies.
- Provide basic ICT training and user support to staff as required.
- Support implementation of e-Government and local authority digital systems.
- Establish databases for Council.
- Assist in the monitoring and evaluation functions of Council.
Requirements
- Degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field.
- At least 2 years relevant experience in ICT technical support.
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA A Network CCNA or Microsoft certifications will be an added advantage.
- Experience in a local authority or public sector environment is an added advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- High level of professionalism integrity and confidentiality.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
