Job Summary
CeSHHAR Zimbabwe is an organisation that specialises in population health research and programming including on sexual and reproductive health and HIV/AIDS. CeSHHAR has an extensive national regional and international academic and community partnership network. CeSHHAR has a diverse range of funders which include the Wellcome Trust the Gates Foundation UK Medical Research Council Templeton World Charity Foundation Global Fund for AIDS TB and Malaria. We partner very closely with the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (UK). CeSHHAR is implementing a National Key Population programme on behalf of National AIDS Council and Ministry of Health and Child Care in all 10 provinces in Zimbabwe. The Intervention Manager will ensure timely and coherent implementation of the pharmacy-based interventions to 1) improve access to post-exposure prophylaxis and emergency contraception using the voucher system among female sex workers and women on the edge of sex work and 2) provide lenacapavir injection for PrEP among people at high risk of HIV including female sex workers in Gweru. The Intervention Manager will lead in the adaptation of VimbAI (a digital health toolkit for self-care) to provide the two interventions. The Intervention Manager will also lead the establishing and updating of community empowerment metrics that would inform the community engagement activities during implementation of these interventions.
Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in Social Sciences Development Studies Social Work Psychology or Public Health Masters degree in Public Health Social Sciences Epidemiology or any related field is an added advantage At least 5 years managerial experience in management of intervention activities that explore innovations to increase HIV services access among key and vulnerable populations Demonstrated experience designing and implementing self-care interventions for vulnerable populations for example pharmacy-based models that achieve population-level impact. Experience in coordination of diverse teams communities and stakeholder engagement Experience in report writing reviewing and aligning with donor requirements Proven experience engaging government departments donors stakeholders researchers and policymakers to scale evidence-based interventions and drive the achievement of common goals
