Job Summary
-Installing configuring and maintaining statistical mathematical and actuarial software packages (e.g. R Python MATLAB and other specialised software).
-Providing technical support to academic staff and students during practical classes research activities and examinations.
-Maintaining laboratory equipment computers printers networking devices and audiovisual equipment.
-Assisting in the procurement inventory management and maintenance of laboratory equipment and consumables.
-Supporting the setup and maintenance of departmental servers databases and online teaching platforms.
-Providing technical assistance during departmental seminars workshops conferences and outreach activities.
-Maintaining accurate records of equipment software licences maintenance schedules and laboratory usage.
-Performing any other duties as assigned by the Chairperson of the Department.
Requirements
An Honours degree in Applied Mathematics and Computational Science Applied Statistics or related from a recognized institution with at least a 2.1 pass.
Must have knowledge and/or experience in the use of major statistical and mathematical packages like R-software MATLAB Python Mathematica and Maple.
