Job Summary
Repair service and maintain all company vehicles including both heavy and light motor vehicles ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Receive assess and process vehicle accident and damage reports and coordinate the necessary repairs.
Ensure the safety and roadworthiness of company vehicles drivers and stock in transit and promptly attend to vehicle breakdowns.
Ensure compliance with all vehicle-related legislation licensing requirements statutory regulations and safety standards.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance checks.
Assist with the training and assessment of new and existing drivers on basic vehicle care safety and operational requirements.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle servicing repairs inspections and maintenance activities.
Identify mechanical faults and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
Requirements
At least 5 years post-graduate training experience in petrol and diesel mechanics.
A clean Class 2 drivers licence.
Proven experience as a Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic with extensive hands-on experience working on MAN TGX models and UD trucks.
Strong diagnostic mechanical and problem-solving skills.
Required Skills:
At least 5 years post-graduate training experience in petrol and diesel mechanics. A clean Class 2 drivers licence. Proven experience as a Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic with extensive hands-on experience working on MAN TGX models and UD trucks. Strong diagnostic mechanical and problem-solving skills.
