Job Summary
Data Analysis: Evaluate precipitation runoff and infiltration data using specialized software.
Modeling: Build computer models to simulate water systems forecast floods or droughts and predict water availability.
Collaboration: Work closely with civil engineers and environmental scientists to design water structures or mitigation plans.
Reporting: Prepare technical reports and present findings to clients and regulatory agencies.
Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in hydrology hydrogeology or a related STEM field.
Experience: 3 years of professional experience in hydrological fieldwork analysis and modeling.
Skills: Proficiency in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and hydrologic modeling software with strong problem-solving abilities.
Certification: Professional Engineering membership with ERB with clean Practicing Certificate
Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Economics Statistics Finance or a related field. 25 years of relevant work experience in data analysis business analytics or a similar role. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions pivot tables VLOOKUP macros). Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI Tableau or Google Data Studio. Strong understanding of statistical concepts and data interpretation. Excellent analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear actionable insights. Familiarity with SQL for data querying and extraction is a plus. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools processes and business challenges.
