Job Summary
- Maintenance Scheduling: Plan and prioritize maintenance and repairs working with mechanics to address defects and ensure safety standards.
- Driver Supervision: Oversee driver performance training and compliance with company policies and government regulations.
- Fleet Operations Management: Coordinate vehicle assignments monitor availability and ensure vehicles are operational and properly maintained.
- Breakdown and Emergency Response: Manage on-road vehicle failures coordinate towing or roadside service and arrange replacement vehicles to minimize operational disruption.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all vehicles meet safety and regulatory requirements maintain accurate records and prepare for audits.
- Fleet Performance Analysis: Track fuel usage analyse fleet data and implement strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce operational costs
Requirements
- Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities to coordinate between drivers mechanics and management
- Knowledge of fleet management software and compliance systems
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety and cost-effectiveness
- Experience in fleet management or transportation operations is highly preferred.
- Must have a grade twelve (12) certificate qualifications in transport and logistics will be an added advantage.
