Job Summary
- Assist in the preparation and processing of daily financial transactions including accounts payable and receivable.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing necessary schedules and documentation.
- Generate routine financial reports and assist senior staff in analyzing financial data for decision-making.
- Manage vendor communications and coordinate payment schedules in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure all financial activities comply with Zambian accounting standards and internal control procedures.
- Prepare and file tax documents and assist with audit preparations as required.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field or equivalent professional certification.
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in an accounting or finance support role.
- Proven proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis.
- Strong understanding of Zambian tax laws and general accounting principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field Proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java C or Python Experience with software development tools and methodologies Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Good communication and teamwork abilities
