Accountant Zambia

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Accountant to establish and manage the finance function for a growing manufacturing business in Zambia. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who is comfortable working in a startup environment taking ownership of financial operations and building accounting processes from the ground up.

• Set up and maintain the chart of accounts and accounting systems.
  
• Develop financial reporting processes and ensure timely reporting.
  
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable accounts receivable and general ledger.
  
• Process payroll and ensure compliance with local labor regulations.
  
• Handle tax filings and ensure compliance with Zambian statutory requirements.
  
• Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial reports.
  
• Support budgeting cash flow management and financial planning.
  
• Collaborate with management to improve financial controls and operational efficiency.
  

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
  
• Minimum 57 years of accounting experience preferably within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  
• Experience working in Africa is highly preferred but not mandatory.
  
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting payroll taxation and statutory compliance.
  
• Ability to work independently and establish finance processes from scratch.
  
• Experience with EBizframe ERP is a strong advantage.
  
• Candidates with experience using SAP Business One Sage or other manufacturing ERP systems are also encouraged to apply.
  
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
  
• Willingness to relocate to Zambia.
