Yard SupervisorLocation: Kennewick WA YardWe are seeking a motivated and experienced Yard Supervisor to lead daily yard operations and ensure the safe efficient movement of materials equipment and products throughout our facility. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for supervising yard personnel maintaining operational excellence supporting customer service initiatives and promoting a culture of safety and ideal candidate is a proven leader with strong knowledge of building materials equipment operation inventory movement and yard logistics. This individual will play a key role in developing employees optimizing workflow and ensuring customers receive exceptional ResponsibilitiesLead and Manage Yard OperationsSupervise and coordinate daily activities of yard personnel including loading unloading storing and transporting work priorities and monitor employee productivity accuracy and efficient utilization of equipment manpower and yard space to support operational with receiving inspecting and organizing incoming a Safe and Productive Work EnvironmentPromote and enforce company safety policies procedures and regulatory team members receive proper equipment training certifications and ongoing safety routine inspections of equipment work areas and operations to identify and correct safety by example in maintaining a safe clean and organized yard Customer Service ExcellenceAssist customers with material selection load building and product accurate information regarding inventory availability order status and outgoing shipments meet company standards shipping specifications and safety and Coach EmployeesTrain new and existing team members on yard procedures product knowledge equipment operation and safety ongoing coaching guidance and support to ensure employee success and professional operational issues and escalate concerns as with management by providing input on employee performance and development Equipment and Facility StandardsEnsure yard equipment and machinery are properly maintained and serviced according to the condition of the yard warehouse and outdoor storage proper disposal or recycling of scrap materials and maintain inventory accuracy and material organization throughout the ResponsibilitiesParticipate in daily yard activities as needed to support operational other duties as ResponsibilitiesDirectly supervises assigned yard daily work assignments productivity quality and safety coaching training and performance employee development and assists management with performance evaluations and personnel School Diploma or of five (5) years of experience in yard operations material handling logistics or a related field including leadership knowledge of building materials load building inventory handling and yard operating material handling equipment and heavy in the building materials or lumber operation Environment & Physical RequirementsPrimarily works in an outdoor yard environment and is exposed to varying weather conditions equipment noise and lifts and carries materials weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 80 be able to stand walk bend climb kneel push pull and perform physical labor throughout the to safely operate equipment and work around moving Join Our TeamAt our company youll have the opportunity to lead a dedicated team make a direct impact on operational success and contribute to a strong culture of safety and customer service.
