Wound Care Physician Full-time

Korzen Health is seeking a Wound Care Physician to join our team. This position will be within a brand-new Wound Care Center in Seattle WA. The center will be a Healogics Stand Alone Center with no direct hospital affiliation at this time.

For over 25 years Healogics has been treating patients with chronic wounds from over 600 hospital-based wound care centers across the country. Currently Healogics treats over 300000 wound care patients annually and has healed nearly 4 million wounds. Healogics is the worlds leading expert in wound healing.

This position is based in our outpatient wound care clinics and is exclusively dedicated to procedural wound care. Our standard work hours are daytime hours averaging around 40 hours per week. There are no night shifts on-call responsibilities holiday hours or weekend hours. All patients are seen by appointment only; walk-ins are not accepted. Our clinics are integrated within existing Hospitals and the physician will be employed by Healogics.

This is a procedure-oriented environment primarily serving geriatric patients. The successful candidate must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in their core specialty and possess a strong procedural background. Recent experience with procedures such as suturing incision and drainage (I&D) or other types of procedures is required and procedural case logs will be requested as part of the credentialing process. Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) Therapy training are available. A full clinical team will be in place from the start date.

Scope of Practice Highlights

• Full Team support includes Case Manager Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Nurses Office Manager and Front/Back End Support
• We offer advanced wound-care treatments to promote healing including:
  • Cellulitis therapy
  • Compression therapy
  • Hyperbaric oxygen therapy: the goal is to have 2-4 chambers.
  • Infection management and prevention
  • Wound cleaning
  • Wound dressing

• Teams will average approximately 15 to 20 patient encounters per day with a majority receiving wound care and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.
• Standard work hours are daytime hours averaging around 40 hours per week. There are no night shifts on-call responsibilities holiday hours or weekend hours.

Experience Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Must be Board-Certified
• Must currently possess a clear and active Medical License and a DEA License in more than one US state.
