Wound Care Nurse Practitioner

Korzen Health seeks a full-time Wound Care Nurse Practitioner for our Wound Care Centers in Bloomington IL and Pontiac IL in collaboration with St Joseph MC Saint James John Albrecht MC and Healogics.

Note: This is a full time 1.0 FTE position with a split schedule between St Joseph MC (Bloomington) and Saint James John Albrecht MC (Pontiac).

For over 25 years Healogics has been treating patients with chronic wounds from over 600 hospital-based wound care centers across the country. Currently Healogics treats over 300000 wound care patients annually and has healed nearly 4 million wounds. Healogics is the worlds leading expert in wound healing.

This position is based in our outpatient wound care clinic and is exclusively dedicated to procedural wound care. PRN shifts will depend on current provider availability/ general Our standard work hours are daytime hours averaging around 40 hours per week. There are no night shifts on-call responsibilities holiday hours or weekend hours. All patients are seen by appointment only; walk-ins are not accepted. The clinic is integrated with the two hospitals and the candidate will be employed by Healogics.

This is a procedure-oriented environment primarily serving geriatric patients. The successful candidate must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in their core specialty and possess a strong procedural background with recent experience. Experience with minor procedures such as suturing and incision and drainage (I&D) is required and procedural case logs will be requested as part of the credentialing process. Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) Therapy training are available. A full clinical team will be in place from the start date. This job will be a mix of inpatient SNF and Wound Care Center work.

Scope of Practice Highlights

• Full Team support includes Case Manager Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Nurses Office Manager and Front/Back End Support

• We offer advanced wound-care treatments to promote healing including: cellulitis therapy compression therapy hyperbaric oxygen therapy infection management and prevention wound cleaning and wound dressing

• Standard work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM totaling 40 hours per week. There are no night shifts on-call responsibilities or weekend hours

Experience Requirements

• Clean and Active State license
• Must be a Certified Nurse Practitioner
• DEA License
• Minimum of 1 year of NP experience is a must
• Must have procedural experience - simple sutures I&Ds debridements...
