Position: Domain Expert - Financial Reporting (Workiva)
Type: Contract
Compensation: $70$100/hour
Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Confirm a figure tag or disclosure in the filing is correct and traces back to its source not just that it renders.
• Catch broken or stale links mis-tagged XBRL elements sign or period errors and edits made outside the scope of the request.
• Judge completeness: when one number changes ensure all affected statements footnotes and tags are updated.
• Distinguish the document validates from this would survive SEC review or audit.
• Verify that a request that should be refused (editing a locked section overriding a signed-off control without support) is refused rather than forced through.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Frequent Workiva use - weekly or more - in your current or recent role
• 3 years of SEC reporting technical accounting or SOX/internal audit experience at a public company or audit firm
• Can spot a broken tie-out a wrong XBRL element or a missing disclosure on sight

Preferred

• CPA strongly preferred; Big 4 or public-company reporting background preferred
• Strong working knowledge in at least 23 specialized areas above
• Prior data annotation labeling or AI evaluation experience is a plus
