Title:Workday Student Advising and Curriculum Consultant
Location:Remote
Duration:6 months
Compensation:$90-100/hour
Work Requirements: U.S. Citizen GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.


The Workday Student Advising/Curriculum Business Analyst is part of the customer team implementing Workday Student and works closely with business stakeholders the technical team and the implementation partner. This position is responsible for understanding business needs documenting business processes creating test scenarios supporting and participating in testing identifying and documenting change impacts and developing reports. This role requires a deep understanding of the business processes in the student lifecycle excellent analytical skills and expertise in student information systems. Mentoring and leading others in a collaborative and fast-paced environment is an important component of this role.

Key Responsibilities:
Identify and document detailed and clear business requirements user stories and acceptance criteria
Work closely with the implementation partner and technical team to translate business requirements into solutions
Work closely with business stakeholders to evaluate and document future state business processes
Participates in integrating Workday with other systems including gathering requirements from IT and customers and coordinating vendor interactions
Performs Workday configuration as needed
Develop and execute test plans and test scenarios and coordinate defect resolution
Work with the change enablement team to document change impacts and develop user guides and training materials
Manage assigned projects by leveraging project management principles using a hybrid agile approach and best practices
Work with IT and customers on identifying data quality issues and support validation and reconciliation during data conversion
Identify delivered reports to support requirements and create custom reports
Works with IT and customers to identify and resolve risks and issues that could impact project scope and/or timeframe escalating when appropriate

Skills & Requirements:
Required:
Bachelors degree
Student information system (SIS) experience required
Expert knowledge of the student lifecycle business processes
Expert domain experience in one or more of the following:
o Academic Foundation / Student Records
o Advising / Curriculum Management
o Financial Aid
o Student Financials
Proven experience as a business analyst with superior analytical and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies
Experience working with a major systems integrator and/or an enterprise software company
Experience with tools like ServiceNow SharePoint Smartsheet Jira Confluence Teams or other project management and collaboration tools
Excellent communication skills organizational prioritization time management skills and a commitment to integrity and professionalism
