Seeking Work Study Student for Institute at Mercer University

Who we are: The Association for Core Texts and Courses is an independent academic non-profit corporation dedicated to promoting and supporting the teaching of core texts throughout the world. We have a Liberal Arts Institute on Mercers campus where we both run the business of the corporation and organize programs and events on Mercers campus throughout the United States and internationally.

Job description: The Institute seeks an Intern to provide marketing organizational and clerical support for ACTC and its Executive Director Prof. Charlotte Thomas. Responsibilities will include but are not necessarily limited to: planning and supporting events and programs designing promotional materials managing our social media and helping with basic administrative tasks such as mailings copies updating our database and organizing files. The Institute is newly relocated to Mercer and this position is new and evolving you would have a significant opportunity to define your role and responsibilities going forward.

What we are looking for: highly developed organizational skills experience with marketing and/or graphic design. Wed prefer candidates who are familiar with Mercers Great Books program. Applicants must have qualified for Federal work study support. Business students or students interested in a career working for non-profits would likely be the best fit for this position.

Position details: 10 hours per week with flexibility for the schedule. Pay is up to $12/hour depending on qualifications and experience. You will typically work out of an office in Knight Hall.
