Job Summary

    • Position Summary
    • Temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant positions available in the Office of Community-Engaged Learning.

    • Start Date
    • Positionsavailable on or after September 14 2026and ending on or before May 21 2027. Possibility of reappointment based on budget department needs and job performance.

    • Job Description/Duties
    • To assist with the clerical and outreach aspects of the Office of Community-Engaged Learning

      Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Coordinate campus communication about volunteer opportunities for students.
      • Assist with outreach and management of on- and off-campus events.
      • Create and maintain files for various student faculty and community events and activities.
      • Provide support on-site at on- and off-campus community events.
      • Coordinates and prioritizes clerical projects interspersed with the day-to-day activities and operations of the department.
      • Compose letters and signage for the campus community.
      • Develop materials for the promotion of service and service learning events in coordination with faculty and other University departments.
      • Communicate effectively and professionally with faculty staff students and the public via email correspondence in-person interactions and/or telephone communications.
      • Assist in the management of various activities events and materials for service learning courses.
      • Assist with the maintenance of the online database of program sites for student placements.
      • Other duties as assigned.

    • Qualifications
    • Preferred Qualifications:
      • Driven
      • Experience with Microsoft Office
      • Organized
      • Detail-orientated
      • Be able to work nights and weekends as needed with notice.

      Required Qualifications:
      • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
      • Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
      • Must have received and accepted a Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
    • Salary Range
    • $16.90per hour.
