Tessera is seeking a Motivated and Hardworking Work Leader with a Positive/Professional attitude.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Perform service inspections maintenance repair and overhaul of equipment to include but not limited to wheeled vehicles track vehicles engineer equipment power generation and material handling equipment propane natural-gas electric gasoline and diesel engine-powered vehicles; light medium heavy; and heavy equipment; trailers.
Coordinate and prioritize daily maintenance and repair activities to support mission requirements and contractual performance standards.
Monitor equipment availability maintenance status and repair timelines to maximize fleet readiness and support mission requirements.
Assign work tasks based on technician skill level workload equipment availability and operational priorities.
Monitor repair progress and adjust work assignments as necessary to meet production schedules.
Perform inspection and repair on various brake suspension wheels hubs and steering systems drive-train components and electrical systems exhaust hydraulic and engine systems.
Verify work orders labor entries repair documentation and parts usage for accuracy and completeness.
Serve as the primary technical advisor for difficult troubleshooting and repair situations.
Conduct final inspections and operational checks prior to returning equipment to service.
Review completed maintenance actions to ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications technical manuals and quality standards.
Accomplish repairs and perform services as outlined in established technical manuals.
Assist in identifying recurring equipment failures and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability and fleet availability.
Communicate equipment status repair timelines and maintenance requirements to management and customers.
Coordinate with supply personnel vendors and management to ensure timely procurement of repair parts and materials.
Understand and follow technical manuals lube orders wiring and hydraulic schematics to ensure proper diagnosis and repair during non-annual and annual services.
Ensure compliance with OSHA DOT EPA Air Force and company safety requirements.
Perform major repair jobs by disassembling and cleaning parts removal repair and installation of assemblies and components.
Lead safety discussions and promote safe maintenance practices throughout the shop.
Perform maintenance and repairs on A/C systems.
Coordinate with Lead mechanic and/or Project Manager regarding the procurement of parts/materials and supplies for ongoing repairs and maintenance.
Maintains clean and safe work areas; ensuring building and shop cleanliness on a routine basis.
Support employee skill development through on-the-job instruction and performance feedback.
Assist management with workload planning manpower utilization and process improvement initiatives.
Ensure maintenance actions inspections labor hours and repair documentation are accurately recorded in applicable maintenance management and work order systems.
Provides day-to-day work direction and technical guidance to assigned personnel but does not perform formal supervisory functions such as hiring discipline performance evaluations or compensation decisions.
Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes shop efficiency workforce productivity and equipment reliability through analysis of maintenance trends and recurring failures.
Support achievement of contractual performance standards vehicle availability objectives preventive maintenance compliance requirements and customer service goals.
Act as the maintenance shop lead during periods when supervisory personnel are unavailable.
Monitor equipment availability and maintenance status to support fleet readiness operational requirements and contractual performance objectives.
Ensure maintenance actions inspections labor hours and repair documentation are accurately entered and maintained within applicable maintenance management systems.
Support achievement of contractual key performance indicators (KPIs) vehicle availability goals preventive maintenance schedules and customer service expectations.
Train coach and mentor mechanics and newly assigned personnel on shop safety maintenance procedures troubleshooting techniques work order documentation and technical standard.

Qualifications:
Minimum 8 years of experience performing maintenance diagnostics repair and overhaul of diesel gasoline electric and/or heavy equipment vehicles.
Proven leadership experience mentoring training and directing mechanics in a maintenance or fleet operations environment.
Advanced knowledge of hydraulic electrical brake suspension steering drivetrain HVAC and engine systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals wiring diagrams hydraulic schematics and maintenance procedures to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues.
Strong understanding of preventive maintenance programs shop safety practices quality standards and work order documentation.
Physical Requirements:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
May be required to reach kneel walk stand and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
Work may require repetitive motion reaching lifting kneeling and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time climbing in and out of a vehicle and up and down stairs may also be required.
Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
Requirements:
A valid state drivers license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tesseras insurance.
CDL A required.
ASE and MACS certification required.
