We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented WordPress Developer to join our team. This role is responsible for designing developing and maintaining high-performing WordPress websites that align with brand standards user experience best practices and business objectives.
The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in WordPress development front-end and back-end programming performance optimization and security best practices. This position requires collaboration with designers marketers and content teams to deliver responsive conversion-focused digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in WordPress development front-end and back-end programming performance optimization and security best practices. This position requires collaboration with designers marketers and content teams to deliver responsive conversion-focused digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch
- Customize existing themes and plugins to meet project requirements
- Convert design mockups (Figma Adobe XD etc.) into fully functional WordPress sites
- Ensure websites are responsive mobile-friendly and cross-browser compatible
- Optimize websites for speed SEO and performance
- Implement technical SEO best practices
- Manage site migrations backups and updates
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues in a timely manner
- Maintain website security and implement best practices
- Integrate third-party APIs and tools (CRM marketing automation analytics etc.)
- Collaborate with marketing and design teams to improve user experience and conversion rates
- Document development processes and maintain organized code repositories
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience developing WordPress websites
- Strong proficiency in PHP HTML5 CSS3 and JavaScript
- Experience building custom themes and plugins
- Familiarity with page builders (Elementor WPBakery Divi etc.)
- Experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
- Understanding of MySQL databases
- Knowledge of SEO principles and performance optimization
- Experience with Git/version control
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Excellent attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with WooCommerce
- Familiarity with headless WordPress
- Knowledge of React or modern JavaScript frameworks
- Experience working in an agency environment
- Understanding of ADA compliance and accessibility standards
Compensation: $50000.00 - $75000.00 per year
