Job Summary

The Nautilus Pier 4 is looking for a talented passionate and knowledgeable wine director/somm to join our team. Pay is highly competitive and includes salaried work shift work and wine tips as well as paid time off health benefits and access to dental and vision benefits as well.

Successful Candidates will be excellent at self-management and self-motivation be highly organized have a love for hospitality and guest interaction be a team player and thrive in an energetic atmosphere. They will enjoy building relationships with their team and guests and are enthusiastic about restaurant culture and continued education for employees. Top notch wine service and an excellent palate and a love for wine are necessary as well.

Responsibilities are consistent with a typical wine director / sommelier position including but not limited to ownership over wine program creation direction organization ordering invoicing and inventory floor management tasks as needed and 5 shifts/wk of selling wine to guests during dinner service as as training and development of staff and helping to improve our systems and culture. Candidates must have previous wine director or sommelier experience in a high end restaurant setting. Night and weekend availability is required.
