Window Service Technician

PURPOSE Under some direct supervision the Window Service Technician is an intermediate-level position and is responsible for conducting troubleshooting warranty repairs and diagnostics for the window division. Performs duties under the direction of the Window Department Manager. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLocates sources of problems using in-field observations along with direction from builders and out warranty repairs and adjustments tied to the manufacturers with their manager to ensure proper invoicing manufacturer rebates and job statuses are documented and outstanding customer the window warranty area of the warehouse. Needs to control inventory in parts in the technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications and establishing personal continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions irregularities and continuing needs. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures rules and to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Other duties may be assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school diploma or general education degree (GED).2 - 5 years of related experience Or equivalent combination of education and level of knowledge of window installation operation and drivers license COMPETENCIES Ethical Conduct Problem Solving/Analysis Technical Capacity Attention to detail Knowledge of industry safety practices Knowledgeable in the use of a variety of hand and power tools Reasoning Ability-Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
