• Observe and enforce compliance with all established safety rules and regulations
• Monitor Plant Intelligence Center to manage and prioritize activity and attend meetings as required.
• Ensure adherence to WPS Operational Excellence Manual and all associated policies and processes
• Communicate with management real time to avoid gaps and surprises
• Identify and evaluate the risks associated with quality and delivery activities and take appropriate action to control risks
• Report performance against metrics goals and objectives daily weekly and monthly
• Manage the plant production department and work within budget.
• Responsible for minimizing losses on the production floor
• Promote and uphold continuous improvement programs
• Developproactive strategies to increase business profits customer satisfaction andoperational effectiveness
• Ensure achievement of established targets through oversight and definitionof improvement actions as needed
• Lead and manage manufacturing function and operation teams andprocesses
• Improve manufacturing technologyand competence
• Execute operational excellence strategy and quality standards
• Driveoperational excellence through target setting monitoring & benchmarkingfor innovative processes
• Manageprocurement activities spending and savings. Ensure supplier deliveryperformance and quality; Manage material storage availability inventory andlogistics
• Implement health safety and business compliance standards and regulations withinthe units
• Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized staffed anddirected
• Build an effective capable and high performing organization
• Promote employee training objectives and ensure compliance with all WilbertU training requirements
• Identify high potential employees and actively develop team members to build bench strength and plan for succession
• Manage resources to meet or exceed established targets for efficiency quality delivery and cost.
