Job Summary

ABOUT THE ROLE

A sophisticated New York litigation and investigations practice is seeking a mid-level associate to work on high-stakes white collar matters government investigations internal investigations and complex commercial disputes. The role offers exposure to matters where litigation strategy regulatory risk and business consequences intersect with associates working closely with experienced trial lawyers and directly with clients. You will have the opportunity to conduct witness interviews develop investigative strategy draft substantive advocacy and take meaningful ownership of matters rather than remaining confined to large-team discovery work. Compensation ranges from $225000-$365000 depending on experience.

WHAT YOULL DO

  • Represent companies and individuals in government investigations enforcement proceedings and white collar criminal matters
  • Conduct internal investigations involving allegations of fraud misconduct regulatory violations and other sensitive business issues
  • Prepare witnesses for interviews testimony depositions and interactions with government authorities
  • Draft motions briefs investigative reports presentations and submissions to prosecutors and regulatory agencies
  • Analyze complex factual records and develop litigation investigative and defense strategies alongside senior attorneys
  • Communicate directly with clients and take increasing responsibility for managing significant portions of investigations and related litigation

WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the New York Bar
  • 36 years of white collar defense investigations enforcement or sophisticated litigation experience
  • Experience conducting factual investigations witness interviews or complex litigation discovery
  • Strong legal research writing analytical and advocacy skills
  • Government enforcement regulatory trial or federal clerkship experience is a plus
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive high-stakes matters
