Job Summary

AECOM has a career opportunity for a Wetland Scientist in our New England Region and as an integral member of our Environmental Planning & Permitting Practice. The desired candidate must have applied Wetland Science experience including proficiency in performing Field-Based Three Parameter (Hydrophytes Hydric Soils and Hydrology) Jurisdictional Wetland Delineation completing data evaluations technical report writing and experience with Wetlands Regulations in Massachusetts Rhode Island Connecticut or New Hampshire. This career opportunity would allow the ideal candidate to support multiple AECOM Client Sectors including energy (Electrical Transmission/Storage/Renewables) Federal and State Projects and a wide array of Industrial Projects.


Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Biology Soils Science Environmental Science or related field and 2 years or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Valid Drivers License and as a condition of employment must be able to pass AECOMs Motor Vehicle Records review.
  • Wetland Delineation Experience
  • Familiar with Wetlands Regulations in Massachusetts Rhode Island Connecticut or New Hampshire
  • Due to the nature of work US citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with environmental permitting USACE/MAWPA MEPA and/or other New England Environmental Regulations
  • Additional desired qualifications include a MS in Biology Soils Science Environmental Science or related field.
  • Interest and availability to support other field based programs including wildlife surveys fishery surveys and on-water programs desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
