Wellness Steward Part time

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides attentive prompt and friendly service to all internal and external customers.
• Builds and maintains customer satisfaction with the products and services offered by the co-op.
• Maintains knowledge of products sales and promotions.
• Ensures inventory is stored stocked and rotated according to standard procedures.
• Handles all product in a safe sanitary and conscientious manner.
• Completes shrink log as needed.
• Ensures displays signage and tags are accurate.
• Installs new product displays as needed.
• Participates in maintaining cleanliness and order.
• Adheres to all workplace safety and security policies.
• Participates in resets and sale changeovers.
• Participates in meetings and trainings.
• Other duties as assigned.

PREREQUISITES

• High School Diploma or equivalent education or experience.
• A minimum of one (1) years experience in a retail environment.
• A minimum of one (1) years experience and familiarity with natural foods and products.
• Supports the co-ops core values and aligns with the Co-op Code of Conduct.
• Adapts readily based on evolving co-op needs or in response to feedback.
• Maintains composure in highly stressful or adverse situations.
• Ability to work independently.

ENVIRONMENTAL & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Flexibility to work any shift including mornings middays evenings weekends.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures (approximately 20F 90F).
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods at a time.
• Ability to bend stoop reach kneel twist and climb.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly and unassisted.
• Reliable access to transportation.
