Job Summary

Eaton Asphalt is currently seeking an experienced Welder.
Welder Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG TIG and other welding techniques as required by the project
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic equipment in vertical horizontal or overhead positions
- Read blueprints drawings and measurements to plan layouts and procedures
- Align and clamp pieces using tools such as calipers rulers and other measuring devices
- Set up welding components including cutting materials to specified measurements
- Operate angle grinders and other tools to prepare parts for welding
- Choose appropriate welding methods and equipment based on specifications
- Ensure efficient use of materials and maintain project budget integrity
- Follow safety standards and consistently wear protective clothing and equipment
Core Skills and Competencies:
- Proficient in MIG TIG and positional welding
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical documents blueprints and layout instructions
- Skilled in the use of hand tools grinders measuring devices and clamping equipment
- Knowledge of applicable safety standards and practices in welding environments
- Strong attention to detail and precision in all aspects of welding
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and quality standards
Welder Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED preferred
- Proven experience as welder
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG MIG MMA etc.)
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools
