We are looking for a skilled welder with at least one year of experience in metal fabrication. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of welding processes shop drawings and safety practices. This role involves performing high-quality welds on various materials including steel stainless steel and aluminum.
We are looking for a skilled welder with at least one year of experience in metal fabrication. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of welding processes shop drawings and safety practices. This role involves performing high-quality welds on various materials including steel stainless steel and aluminum.
Position is Monday-Thursday night; 2:30pm-1:00am. OT as needed.
Shift differential of $3.00 per hour.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints shop drawings and welding symbols
- Perform MIG TIG and Stick welding as required
- Fabricate assemble and weld metal components according to specifications
- Set up and operate welding equipment and fabrication machinery
- Inspect completed welds and structures to ensure quality and compliance
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines
- Follow all company safety guidelines and OSHA regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of hands-on welding experience in a fabrication environment
- Proficient in MIG and TIG welding (Stick welding is a plus)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and weld symbols
- Strong knowledge of metal types thicknesses and behavior under heat
- Familiarity with grinders torches plasma cutters and other tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
- AWS Certification preferred but not required
- High school diploma or GED required trade school or vocational training a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly
- Stand bend kneel and work in various positions throughout the shift
- Comfortable working in a shop environment with exposure to heat sparks and metal particles
