Pronto Staffing is seeking an experienced welder for a busy manufacturing facility.
Job SummaryPronto Staffing is hiring a Welder for a full-time temp-to-hire position in the Decatur this role you will prepare parts weld metal pieces together and finish welds according to design plans. This is a great opportunity for an experienced welder looking for steady second-shift work and competitive benefits.
Responsibilities
Prepare metals weld parts and finish products according to plans and specifications
Perform MIG TIG and GMAW welding on steel and carbon materials
Use manual and power tools to grind and clean welds
Read and follow blueprints to ensure accurate assembly
Assist other team members and departments as needed
At least 6 months of GMAW welding experience or formal training
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to read blueprints and pass a hands-on welding test prior to job offer
Ability to pass visual acuity and blueprint reading tests within 30 days of hire
Must speak and understand English
Steel-toe boots required
Stand and walk for 8 to 12 hours per day
Lift push pull or move up to 50 lbs
Work in a noisy non-climate-controlled environment
Bend stoop kneel squat and reach overhead regularly
