Pronto Staffing is seeking a skilled Welder for a full-time role in a busy manufacturing environment.
Job SummaryPronto Staffing is hiring a Welder to join a growing team in Decatur. You will prepare materials perform welds and finish metal parts according to work orders and blueprints. This position requires hands-on welding experience attention to detail and a commitment to safe work practices.
Responsibilities
Prepare metal parts perform welding and finish welds according to product drawings
Perform GMAW MIG and TIG welding on steel and carbon metals
Use manual and power tools to grind and finish metal surfaces
Read blueprints and technical instructions to complete daily tasks
Help in other departments as needed to support production tasks
High School Diploma or GED required
Must be at least 18 years of age
At least 6 months of GMAW job experience or training
Strong skills in MIG TIG or GMAW welding techniques
Ability to read blueprints and drawings
Must pass a weld test prior to hire
Must pass a visual acuity test and blueprint reading test within 30 days of hire
English language proficiency
Reliable attendance and ability to work weekday and weekend overtime as needed
Stand and walk for 8 to 12 hours per day
Lift push pull or move up to 50 lbs frequently
Work in a non-climate-controlled noisy manufacturing facility
Perform physical tasks such as kneeling squatting bending stooping and reaching overhead
Steel toe boots are required
