Looking for a schedule that gives you more time outside of work without sacrificing your paycheck At Klute our Weekend Machine Operators work just three days a week while receiving pay for 40 hours!

Were looking for a dependable detail-oriented team member to help keep production moving by operating a variety of machines used to build the steel structures our customers count on. From lasers and press brakes to saws drills and automated welding equipment youll work with advanced machinery read blueprints measure materials and help turn raw steel into quality products.

If you have manufacturing experience are comfortable using measuring tools and enjoy working with large equipment wed love to meet you!

What Youll Do

• Set up operate and adjust machines to meet production requirements and product specifications.
• Position and secure dies blades cutters fixtures and materials using hand tools gauges templates and other measuring equipment.
• Read blueprints follow specifications and identify cutting bending and machining reference points.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy and quality.
• Inspect and measure finished work using rulers gauges templates and other measuring tools.
• Safely move materials between workstations using a forklift and other material-handling equipment.
• Learn and operate a variety of machines including lasers press brakes saws plate machines drills tube lasers automated welding equipment seam welders and Trumpf equipment.
• Report unsafe conditions equipment concerns and products that do not meet quality standards to the appropriate lead or supervisor.
• Maintain a clean organized and safe work area.
• Become proficient in an assigned machine while remaining flexible to support other machines and production needs.

What Were Looking For

Education

• Associate degree or higher or equivalent experience.

Experience & Skills

• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience using hand-measuring tools such as a tape measure.
• Understanding of oxy-fuel and plasma cutting processes.
• Familiarity with CNC programming and the ability to use computers to operate programs and troubleshoot issues.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Dependability a willingness to learn and a commitment to workplace safety.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Must be able to obtain certification to operate an overhead crane.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 100% of the shift.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
• Frequent use of hands to handle tools materials equipment and machine controls.
• Ability to view computer monitors and perform occasional alphanumeric keyboarding.
