Project: UT San Antonio Valdez Institute for Economic Development (VIED) Web Redesign & Migration
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the end-to-end digital transformation site consolidation and migration of 10 university websites into a unified accessible WordPress environment. This position serves as the primary point of contact for project delivery managing cross-functional technical teams while ensuring full compliance with higher education procurement requirements quality assurance standards and schedule milestones.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery: Direct the end-to-end execution of the web redesign project managing project scope schedules resource allocation and budget tracking from contract award to final site launch.
RFP & State/Higher-Ed Compliance: Ensure all project workflows deliverables submittals and security/contractual obligations strictly comply with state procurement standards institutional policies and RFP specifications.
Milestone & Schedule Management: Establish detailed project roadmaps work breakdown structures (WBS) and sprint plans to guarantee on-time delivery across multi-site migration phases.
Quality Assurance & Governance: Oversee QA/QC protocols ensuring site performance cross-browser compatibility security compliance and seamless migration of legacy content across all 10 digital properties.
Stakeholder & Client Communication: Function as the main liaison between executive leadership university stakeholders subject matter experts and internal design development and accessibility teams.
Risk Management & Mitigation: Proactively identify project risks technical dependencies and potential bottlenecks developing swift mitigation strategies to prevent project scope creep or delays.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 5 years of digital project management experience leading complex web transformations multi-site content migrations or enterprise CMS deployments within higher education or public sector environments.
Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) credential preferred.
Technical & Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of web development lifecycles Agile/Scrum methodologies WordPress ecosystem implementations and digital accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) integration.
Governance & Procurement: Demonstrated experience steering projects through state agency university system or institutional procurement and reporting guidelines.
Leadership & Communication: Exceptional organizational conflict-resolution and written/verbal communication skills necessary to lead multi-disciplinary teams and report progress to executive sponsors.
