Wax Injection Operator Level 1 (2nd Shift)

Job Summary
Objective: To set up and operate wax injection machines to make wax patterns conforming to visual and dimensional specifications on technique cards.
Essential Job Functions:
Follow established housekeeping and safety practices to maintain the quality of the work environment under general supervision.
Perform visual and dimensional inspection of patterns per part grade levels. May use such measuring devices as micrometers calipers and dial indicators.
Work is subject to final inspection and check.
May operate a wax extruding machine fill and knock-out wax billets and alloy reclaimed wax. May use hand tools of various types.
Adjusts equipment to obtain optimum running condition.
Disassembles tooling to visually check for tool damage such as burrs nicks cuts scratches gouges metal fatigue and cracks.
Inspects own parts for surface distortion and imperfections such as flow lines air traps bubbles cracks breaks sinks excess flash non-fill and porous condition.
Must demonstrate good eye hand coordination.
Performs all other work deemed necessary to meet Plant goals.
Maintains accurate records of work performed.
Meets all production and quality standards. Follows set OPCs and QCPs.
All other duties assigned.
Qualification
Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing read follow and interpret instructions on technique cards code sheets as well as other verbal or written instructions normally acquired by completing high school.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Ability to use simple to moderately complex measuring devices and fixtures.
Physical ability to perform the essential job functions.
