About the Company

Our client is an established family-operated property restoration company serving residential and commercial customers. The company specializes in water damage mitigation mold remediation and related restoration services.

We are seeking an experienced Water Restoration Lead Technician to lead field restoration projects supervise restoration crews and ensure safe efficient and high-quality project completion.

This is a hands-on leadership role for a restoration professional who can manage field operations guide team members and respond to emergency water damage situations.

Key Responsibilities

Water Damage Restoration & Field Operations

  • Lead and perform residential and commercial water damage mitigation projects.

  • Respond to emergency water damage situations including nights weekends and holidays as part of a rotating on-call schedule.

  • Oversee water extraction structural drying moisture monitoring and related mitigation activities.

  • Manage field production according to established project scopes and timelines.

  • Coordinate equipment materials and technicians to ensure efficient project execution.

  • Perform hands-on restoration work alongside field technicians as needed.

  • Support mold remediation air duct cleaning and other related restoration services when required.

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Supervise field technicians and coordinate daily restoration activities.

  • Provide clear direction to ensure projects are completed safely efficiently and within scope.

  • Monitor project productivity workmanship and quality.

  • Guide and mentor technicians in proper restoration procedures.

  • Enforce job-site safety requirements and company operating standards.

  • Support the professional development of team members.

Project Management & Documentation

  • Monitor job costs production time and project profitability.

  • Maintain accurate project documentation including photographs contracts and work records.

  • Review and interpret Xactimate reports and restoration scopes of work.

  • Ensure company vehicles equipment and tools are properly maintained.

  • Communicate project updates to management and customers.

  • Maintain professional customer relationships throughout the restoration process.


Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in restoration services preferably water damage restoration.

  • 2 years of leadership or crew supervision experience.

  • IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) certification required to achieve full Lead Technician status.

  • Strong knowledge of water damage mitigation drying equipment and restoration procedures.

  • Ability to lead field technicians and manage project activities independently.

  • Ability to read and interpret Xactimate reports and scopes of work.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Basic computer and smartphone proficiency for project documentation.

  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.

  • Valid drivers license with a satisfactory driving record.

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

  • Availability for rotating emergency on-call assignments.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional IICRC certifications.

  • OSHA 30 certification.

  • Mold remediation certifications such as CMI or CMRC.

  • Experience with residential or commercial construction.

  • Hands-on experience with mold remediation and related restoration services.

  • Experience mentoring or training junior restoration technicians.
