Warehouse Technician Job Description

32 hours a week. (between 7am - 5pm)

Pay $27.00

Essential Duties

1) Maintain an adequate inventory of tools materials equipment and supplies. Obtain necessary authorizations for orders. Contact vendors for prices. Prepare records for stock issued. Maintain manual or computerized records of stock inventory and tool supply. Conduct cycle counts using computerized maintenance system.

2) Operate a variety of equipment during performance of assigned duties. Provide loading and unloading. Collect materials from suppliers and make deliveries when required. Perform material handling using hand trucks. Operate a forklift to load and unload and move and stack materials supplies and equipment in both enclosed and open storage areas.

3) Unpack materials supplies tools and equipment. Inspect order for wear damage or defect. Notify the proper person if repairs or adjustments are required. Verify articles received against packing lists and purchase orders. Assemble materials from requisition forms. Count or weigh articles.

4) Store articles in prescribed bins racks shelves and floor or yard sites. Keep warehouse or storage areas in a clean and orderly condition.

5) Pack and ship materials supplies tools and equipment.

6) Assist Asset Management Coordinator as needed.

Physical Demands

Requires ability to work in a typical office or warehouse setting and use standard office equipment. Requires sufficient strength and stamina to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to fifty (50) pounds. Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.

Licenses and Certifications

Must possess and maintain a forklift certification within thirty (30) days of hire.

Must possess and maintain the equivalent to a valid Nevada Class C drivers license at time of hire.
