Job Summary

Accent Controls Inc. is seeking full-time Warehouse Specialists (Warehouse Workers) in the Storage/Inventory

21410 Warehouse Specialist (Warehouse Worker)

As directed performs a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the establishments storage plan. Work involves most of the following: Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages; routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing stacking or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods; rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials; examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage; removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment. May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.

Essential Job Functions

  • Understanding large-scale organization systems
  • Knowing inventory control systems
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Meeting physical requirements such as lifting bending and standing for long periods
  • Knowing Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel

Advanced Skills

  • Ability to operate a variety of tools
  • Experience using warehouse equipment such as forklifts and handcarts
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and practices

Marginal Job Functions

  • Counting and inventory accuracy
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Practices physical security and is committed to safety practices.

Working Conditions:

Works on concrete floors and in drafty areas. May be exposed to fumes fluids dirt battery acids etc. resulting in bruises cuts burns and skin irritation. Wearing of protective wear and other safety equipment is required during all periods of exposure to hazardous conditions. Hand trucks dollies and other workers are available for assistance with heavier items.

Physical and Mental Demands

  • Including but not limited to standing squatting lifting (up to 50 pounds); carrying walking; pushing and pulling
  • Including but not limited to sitting and driving a forklift
  • Including but not limited to problem-solving decision-making data interpretation organization; reading and writing

Education

  • HS Diploma or GED. May substitute one year of relevant experience for one year of education.
