Job Summary

SCOPE OF WORK Performs transportation loading unloading and moving of materials from warehouse storage facilities to Company job site while following appropriate safety procedures. Duties include transporting materials timely deliveries shipping/receiving picking up/packing orders processing orders stocking and re-shelving materials and other warehouse related job tasks as REQUIREMENTSUses Gaylor Performance Values as tools to carry out all job responsibilitiesValid Drivers LicenseAbility to perform preventative vehicle inspections for oil coolant brake fluid washer levels signals lights to read maps and navigate roads and streets of assigned areaAbility to handle material warehouse shipping/receiving and storage/stockroomStrong administrative organizational and communication skillsRESPONSIBILITIES Performs preventative maintenance and daily audits of vehicles and equipment to ensure mechanical safety and emergency equipment is in good working orderResponsible for receiving archiving and property controlMay coordinate the activities of assigned employeesMay respond to general inquiries related to warehouse delivery issuesReviews shipping schedules job orders and shipping orders/requisitions to determine materials to be moved gathered and distributedPulls and prepares material for shipping and loads onto trucks while checking orders to ensure accuracyManually handles materials by loading and unloading them onto or from pallets trays racks and shelvesMoves material with the use of material handling equipment (i.e. forklift pallet jack and hoist) as necessaryLoads materials and installs strapping bracing and/or appropriate padding to prevent shifting or damage and ensures materials are correctly distributed to the right locations for designated projectsCoordinates delivery activities with employees to meet Company objectives and work schedulesRecords amounts of materials delivered and/or distributedMaintains accurate documentation including maintenance/repair logs timesheets vehicle lots progress reports and DOT requirementsUses computer to track products part numbers quantities locations and notesPurchases tools repair parts and construction equipment supplies as directedOther projects and tasks as assignedWORKING CONDITIONSMay require working in all elements (heat cold rain snow etc.) depending on job location and/or time of yearMust be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities (port-o-lets)Must have required hand tools at all times while at work site (waist tool belts can weigh up to 30 lbs.)Must be able to work scheduled hours as well as overtime as required on short noticeMust be able to work in noisy environmentsMust be able to remain calm in times of heightened emotional situationsMust work well with others as a member of a team to complete tasksPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMust be able to wear personnel protective equipment (i.e. hard hat safety glasses gloves high visibility vest safety harness etc.) when requiredAbility to stand bend stoop squat crawl climb kneel balance push pull and reach overhead for extended periods of timeAbility to lift loads of up to 51 use of arms hands and fingersAbility to climb and use ladders and scaffolding of all types for extended periods of timePossess good vision/hearing (normal or corrected)Ability to make transition from designated employee parking areas to construction areas and be able to gain access to all levels of building/structure even if only means of access is by OSHA approved site construction ladder or stairs still under construction but deemed safe for useAbility to work while constantly movingAbility to reach and stretch to position equipment fixtures etc. while maintaining balanceAbility to use both hands simultaneously for tying knots and for proper use of power equipmentMust be able to see color to discern color-coded wiringMust be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduitsEDUCATIONHigh School graduate or equivalent experienceEXPERIENCETwo or more years of driving experience
