Job Summary
Responsibilities:Responsible for the coordination and scheduling of all warehouse operations including shipping receiving archiving and property control. Coordinates the activities of assigned employees. Responds to general inquiries as they relate to warehousing issues. Creates reads and interprets shipping schedules job orders and requisitions to determine items to be moved gathered or distributed to/from RequirementsUses Gaylor Performance Values as tools to carry out all job deliveries for consistent and efficient distribution of materials to job delivery needs that arise from unforeseen job accurate records of inventory of materials on a regular basis to help minimize costs. Also conducts annual inventory as records of incoming and outgoing incoming inventory into the inventory materials from trucks and loads onto warehouse shelves or places material in designated project and prepares materials for shipping and loads onto trucks. Checks orders to ensure and verifies all shipping records. Sorts and expedites orders and generates shipping materials with identifying amounts of materials or items received or distributed with material through facility with the use of material handling equipment (i.e. forklift pallet jack and hoist) as computer to track materials such as products part numbers quantities locations comments tools repair parts and construction equipment supplies as directed. Working ConditionsMay require working in all elements (heat cold rain snow etc.) depending on job location and/or time of yearMust be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities (port-o-lets)Must have required hand tools at all times while at work site (waist tool belts can weigh up to 30 lbs.)Must be able to work scheduled hours as well as overtime as required on short noticeMust be able to work in noisy environmentsMust be able to remain calm in times of heightened emotional situationsMust work well with others as a member of a team to complete tasks Physical RequirementsMust be able to wear personnel protective equipment (i.e. hard hat safety glasses gloves high visibility vest safety harness etc.) when requiredAbility to stand bend stoop squat crawl climb kneel balance push pull and reach overhead for extended periods of timeAbility to lift loads of up to 51 use of arms hands and fingersAbility to climb and use ladders and scaffolding of all types for extended periods of timePossess good vision/hearing (normal or corrected)Ability to make transition from designated employee parking areas to construction areas and be able to gain access to all levels of building/structure even if only means of access is by OSHA approved site construction ladder or stairs still under construction but deemed safe for useAbility to work while constantly movingAbility to reach and stretch to position equipment fixtures etc. while maintaining balanceAbility to use both hands simultaneously for tying knots and for proper use of power equipmentMust be able to see color to discern color-coded wiringMust be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduitsEducation: High school graduate holder of G.E.D. or equivalent studies/: Previous warehouse management/administration experience. Material handling warehouse shipping/receiving storage/stockroom or associated materials experience. Strong administrative computer organization and communication skills.
