TITLE: Warehouse Associate

POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt

DEPARTMENT: Distribution

POSITION REPORT TO: Warehouse Manager

SUMMARY: Responsible for all the tasks involved with smooth daily operations of the shipping area and shipping of orders and samples requests. Shift hours are 7am-3:30pm OR 3pm-11:30pm

EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in warehouse operations preferred.

• Must understand measurements for weight volume and temperature.

• Requires the ability to read write and communicate verbally in English. Ability to communicate in Spanish a plus.

• Interacts with other employees within the company. Rarely communicates with external vendors delivery personnel or customers.

• Requires the ability to perform basic addition subtraction multiplication and division.

EDUCATION:

• Education equal to a 6th Grade is . H.S. Degree GED or equivalent work experience preferred but not .

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete all Quality Assurance orientation for new employees and annual training including allergens hygiene safety sanitation Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) and good manufacturing practice (GMP) for the position.

• Responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled.

• Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment ensuring that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped.

• Stocking and storing all materials and supplies of the warehouse.

• Reporting damage and loss of inventory to the supervisor.

• Familiar with Forklift Operation.

• Basic computer skills

• Some Previous working experience as a Warehouse Worker

• Able to lift 50LB.

• Able to work in freezers.

• Coordinating all work functions with team associates and other departments.

• Perform all assigned tasks by the supervisor efficiently and timely.

• Ensuring that the quality of supplies and goods are compliant with the company standards.

• Maintaining all safety regulations while carrying out work functions.

• Follow all plant Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) Safety and Food Safety guidelines.

• Perform other duties as may be assigned by management.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Position requires the ability to bend stoop and stand for lengthy periods of time; ability to work under strict production timeframes; ability to perform tasks that may include repetitive motions.

• Must be able to lift and carry boxes or trays that weigh up to 40 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Position requires continual working in work areas at a temperature of45-60ºF as well as ability to work in coolers with a temperature equal to 25-40ºF and freezers with a temperature as low as -10ºF.

• Position requires use or being in the proximity of knives broilers grills ovens searing and other food preparation equipment and packaging equipment that requires following safety guidelines to avoid bums or injury.

• Must be able to perform in a fast-paced deadline-oriented work environment.

• Uniform and hygiene must be neat and clean.
