Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Associate to join our team in supporting day-to-day warehouse operations. This role focuses on the cleaning refurbishment and assembly of reusable packaging general facility upkeep and accurate digital record-keeping. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a clean organized workspace and thrives in a hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities
Packaging Operations
- Cleaning & Refurbishment: Inspect clean and refurbish reusable packaging materials to company standards ensuring they are ready for redeployment.
- Packaging Assembly: Build out and assemble packaging according to specifications and operational requirements.
- Quality Checks: Identify damaged or non-reusable packaging and escalate for disposal or replacement as needed.
Facility Maintenance
- General Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment including regular emptying of trash and recycling receptacles.
- Workspace Organization: Keep work areas staging zones and common spaces tidy and free of hazards in compliance with health and safety standards.
Administrative & Systems
- System Updates: Accurately enter and maintain packaging inventory and status information within internal tracking systems.
- Digital Documentation: Upload organize and file digital paperwork in accordance with company procedures ensuring records are complete and easily retrievable.
Compliance & Safety
- Adhere to all company policies standard operating procedures and workplace health and safety regulations.
- Participate in safety briefings and training as required.
Requirements
- Physical Capability: Must be able to independently lift carry and maneuver items weighing up to 50 lbs on a regular basis. Role requires prolonged standing bending and repetitive motion.
- Pallet Jack Operation: General experience operating manual and/or electric pallet jacks for moving materials within the warehouse.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in both physical tasks (packaging quality) and administrative duties (data entry and filing).
- Technical Proficiency: Basic comfort with computers and internal systems for data entry and document management.
- Work Ethic: Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliability: Strong attendance and punctuality in a schedule-driven warehouse setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse distribution or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with reusable packaging programs or sustainable logistics practices.
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory tracking tools.
