Westmoreland County is seeking an experienced and highly qualified professional to serve as Prison Warden. The Warden is responsible for the overall administration security safety and orderly operation of the County Prison including the care custody and control of the inmate population and the supervision and direction of all prison personnel.

The Warden serves as the chief administrative and operational leader of the facility and works closely with the Prison Board County administration law enforcement agencies courts probation and parole officials attorneys employees and community partners.

The successful candidate will be a proven correctional leader with strong administrative supervisory and decision-making skills. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience managing a correctional facility or significant correctional operation and will be capable of effectively balancing facility security staff management inmate care regulatory compliance fiscal responsibility and community safety.

This position is subject to 24-hour seven-day-a-week on-call responsibilities and may require responding to emergencies or operational issues outside of normal working hours.

Education:Bachelors degree in Administration of Justice Criminal Justice Corrections or a related field.

Experience: Eight (8) to ten (10) years of professional experience working in a correctional institution to include a minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience in a correctional environment.
