Job Title: Data Engineer / Platform Engineer

Location: Reston VA (Onsite)

Employment Type: Contract (W2)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer / Platform Engineer with strong expertise in Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) and cloud platform engineering. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing and administering Informatica Cloud environments automating infrastructure and supporting enterprise-scale data platforms.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong hands-on experience with Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) and Self-Service Workbench
Experience developing solutions and setting up Informatica Cloud environments
Proficiency in Python and Unix Shell Scripting
Experience automating infrastructure provisioning and operational tasks using:
- Terraform
- GitLab
- Ansible
- Python
Strong knowledge of AWS services including:
- EC2
- SSM
- CloudFormation
- CloudWatch
- Lambda
Experience troubleshooting and supporting production environments in a 24x7 support model
Excellent communication time management and technical presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Apache Spark Amazon EMR/Hadoop PySpark and AWS Glue
Experience creating and managing Terraform Modules
Prior experience supporting enterprise cloud data platforms

Responsibilities

Design develop and maintain data engineering and platform solutions on AWS
Implement and administer Informatica IDMC environments
Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational workflows
Monitor troubleshoot and support production systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure platform reliability and scalability
Participate in on-call and production support activities as required

Work Authorization

Open to candidates authorized to work on W2 in the United States.

Location Requirement

Candidates must be able to work onsite in Reston VA.
