Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our VP of Operations you will provide administrative leadership for an assigned hospital campus/clinics ensuring operations align with strategic plans standards and regulations to deliver high-quality cost-effective healthcare outcomes.

Every day you will directly oversee site-based functions including plant operations environmental services dietary supply chain and clinical operations for respiratory diagnostic imaging and perioperative services. You will optimize culture quality safety and patient experience lead change management and performance improvement maximize financial performance and foster external relationships while managing budgets overseeing capital improvements and driving initiatives to enhance hospital operations and quality of care.

To be successful you will maintain strong ties with all departments and medical staff for efficient compliant operations and timely problem-solving. Your expertise in healthcare reform operational models and regulations will be crucial for leveraging growth ensuring financial viability and effectively developing strategic opportunities within contract administration cost containment and regulatory compliance.

  • Closely collaborate with triad leadership partners to effectively oversee the campus.
  • Responsible for development of multi-horizon strategy and action plans in alignment with movement toward value-based care.
  • Develop and implement the operational model to integrate optimize and develop campus-based services both hospital-based and clinic-based with a focus on inter-professionaland value-based care. Develop non-traditional services that meet the needs of consumers outside traditional settings. Integrate emergency and non-emergency services in a fully cohesive model that provides the appropriate care in the appropriate setting.
  • Share successful University Campus strategies and services with other CHI Health facilities including hospitals family health centers and specialty clinics.
  • Develop monitor and utilize comprehensive balanced scorecard including cost quality and experience metrics designed to ensure campus is delivering value. Identify metrics that measure value in non-traditional non-hospital centric terms.
  • Responsible for development and administration of capital budgets in alignment with strategic direction to ensure financial health of the campus and coordination with hospital enterprise physician enterprise and academic enterprise operational leaders to determine impact on operational budgets.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors Other in Nursing Healthcare Administration or related field and 6-8 years of progressively responsible related work experience that would demonstrate attainment of the requisite job knowledge/abilities including four years in a supervisory or management capacity in a healthcare delivery organization. upon hire and

Preferred

  • Masters Other in healthcare administration or related field or enrollment in a related upon hire and
  • Masters Other program is strongly upon hire
