Wealth Management(WM)Operations is a global organization operating in 21 cities across 4 countries in support of the Wealth Management business. Capital MarketsCore Processingand Risksupports the movement of client assets in and out of the Firm provide asset servicing for our clients and offer front-to-back support to clients throughout the lifecycle of a trade. CMCPRs primary focus is to provide first class service to our business partners financial advisors and clients while mitigating financial reputation and regulatory risk to the Firm.

Overview ofrole:

We are seeking a Vice President to join Morgan Stanleys Wealth Management Operations Capital Markets Core Processing & Risk (CMCPR)organizations COO team as theTransformation Metrics & Analytics will be responsible forshaping anddriving the departmentstransformation and automation agendaoperating modelgovernance framework transformation and automation strategy and portfolio. The successful candidate will partner closely with Operations leadership Technology Finance Risk and Global Operations Transformation teams to drive strategic initiatives that improve scalability operational effectiveness risk management and organizational performance.

This individual will provide leadership and oversight across the departments transformation and automation portfolio ensuring alignment with Firmwide and Operations priorities while establishing the governance metrics and management disciplines necessary to sustain long-term requires an experienced individual with the ability to translate strategy into execution drive organizational alignment and influence senior stakeholders across a complex matrixed environment.

The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with a deep understanding of operating model design process optimization performance management automation artificial intelligence and organizational transformation. They will play a critical role in modernizing how CMCPR operates while enabling the department to deliver against evolving business client regulatory and operational priorities.

Whatyou willdo:

Transformation Strategy & Execution

  • Lead the development and execution of the CMCPR transformation strategy ensuring alignment with departmental objectives WM Operations priorities and the Global Operations Transformation goals and agenda.
  • Oversight of the departments transformation portfolio including strategic initiatives automation programs operating model enhancements and productivity initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness operational scalability riskmanagement and capacity creation through process redesign workflow optimization and technology enablement.
  • Drive adoption of emerging technologies including workflow automation artificial intelligence (GenAI Agentic AI) software solutions and intelligent document processing capabilities.

Governance & Operating Model Leadership

  • Refine and maintain the governance framework supporting transformation automation and strategic initiatives across CMCPR.
  • Drive operating model discipline through enhanced prioritization execution management accountability and benefit realization practices.
  • Lead portfolio governance forums steering committees and cross-functional leadership discussions to review progress manage risks and align strategic priorities.
  • Develop frameworks that improve transparency decision-making resource allocation and execution consistency across the department.
  • Develop executive scorecards management dashboards KPI frameworks and performance reporting that support data-driven decision making.
  • Refine methodologies to measure and track transformation benefits including productivity gains capacity creation risk reduction cost efficiencies and control improvements.

Automation & Continuous Improvement

  • Oversee the CMCPR automation strategy and centralized automation function including governance prioritization resource allocation and delivery oversight.
  • Championa culture of innovation continuous improvement transformational mindset and operational excellence (reimagining operations) across the organization.
  • Drive adoption of automation capabilities and self-service tools across the department promoting scalable solutions and reusability across functions.
  • Partner with Operations and Technology teams to accelerate modernization efforts and maximize business value realization.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to CMCPR leadership on transformation operatingmodel governance performance management and organizational priorities.
  • Build strong partnerships across Operations Technology Risk Finance Control Functions and Global Transformation teams.
  • Influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across competing priorities through data-driven recommendations and strategic leadership.
  • Lead and develop the departments Transformation Metrics & Analytics team fostering a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous development.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10 years ofrelevantexperience inOperationsBusiness Management COO Transformation Strategy Consulting Program Management or related disciplines.
  • 3 yearsofpeopleleadership experience with a demonstrated track record of building developing and leading high-performing teams in a complex matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience driving large-scale transformation initiatives within complex financial services organizations.
  • Strong understanding of operating model design governance frameworks organizational effectiveness and execution management.
  • Experience establishing and managing transformation portfolios executive governance structures and performance management disciplines.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed environment.
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking capabilities with the ability to translate complex information into actionable business decisions.
  • Executive-level communication and presentation skills with experience preparing materials for senior leadership audiences.
  • Bachelors degree required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within Wealth Management Capital markets Operations or Financial Services.
  • Background in management consulting business strategy transformation analytics or COO functions.
  • Experience leading metrics business intelligence performance management or benefit realization programs.
  • Knowledge of workflow automation intelligent automation AI/GenAI capabilities process reengineering and operational modernization.
  • Experience withCoPilotPowerBI Alteryx UiPath PowerApps/PlatformsCelonis Dynamics 365 or similar transformation and automation capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies product operating models and enterprise-scale change management.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be $120000.00-$172500.00 per year at the commencement of employment. However base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package which depending on the position may also include commission earnings incentive compensation discretionary bonuses other short and long-term incentive packages and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
