As a Vocational Trainer you will lead the development delivery and continuous improvement of the Stadler US Inc. Apprenticeship program. This role will own departmental training outcomes from curriculum design and budget oversight to hands-on instruction and performance evaluation while partnering closely with mentors technical trainers and internal stakeholders to ensure apprentices gain the skills tools knowledge and practical experience needed to succeed in their assigned trades. The Vocational Trainer will play a key role in recruiting future apprentices and coordinating rotations across internal departments serving as the primary point of accountability for the programs day-to-day success and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development and continuous improvement of the Stadler US Inc. Apprenticeship program owning departmental outcomes and results
- Manage program budget technical resources and personnel decisions.
- Conduct regular performance assessments in partnership with mentors and trainers.
- Develop document and update the training curriculum and implementation plan for the apprenticeship program.
- Deliver hands-on instruction on tools equipment technology and techniques required for the job.
- Prepare apprentices for rotational assignments in internal departments.
- Organize and administer apprentice rotations within the designated department.
- Support apprentice recruiting including job shadow coordination and administration of aptitude assessments.
- Partner with internal stakeholders across departments to ensure strong outcomes for apprentices and receiving teams.
Qualifications
- Associates degree or equivalent VET certificate is required
- Experience in vocational training including the completion of formal vocational training course is required
- 3 years of progressive experience in electrical assembly complex production methodologies including further training in the mechanical field
- Must enjoy working with young adults on a daily basis
- Organizational skills and time management skills necessary
- Communicative empathetic and driven highly adaptable personality
- Must be fluent in English both verbal and written with excellent communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Budgeting experience is preferred
