Therefore to deliver on our mission The Network expects every employee to perform his or her job first and foremost in accordance with the Companys Services Vocational Counselor (Vocational Coordinator) (Part-Time)Range: $25 to $35 per hourLocations: Primarily Flint with some travel to Novi and WarrenDo you want to use your expertise to help individuals with brain injuries or developmental disabilities discover their potential and achieve meaningful employment As the Vocational Therapist you will support participants through individualized vocational planning skills training and evaluationbridging therapeutic rehabilitation and competitive employment and facilitate implementation of Individual Plans of Employment and vocational goals within vocational programs and community 1:1 and group-based Job Readiness and Soft Skills training including resume development interview preparation workplace behavior and vocational testing and assessments such as the Hollands Interest Inventory WRAT COPS/CAPS and other standardized tools as Benefits Counseling Job Exploration Counseling and Customized Employment with program managers and case coordinators to identify participants ready to transition toward community-based in vocational program development creating structured group curricula and documentation detailed documentation and progress reports per state standards and program standards Market and build relationships with local employers and volunteer sites to expand placement and skill-building on-site coaching mentoring and workplace adjustment support to promote independence and job compliance with safety and reporting standards; document incidents or participant concerns with Direct Support Professionals and interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistent vocational supports across in Rehabilitation Counseling or related (Certified Rehabilitation Counselor)Minimum 1 year of experience in vocational rehabilitation brain injury or developmental disability settings of vocational evaluation tools and community employment written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport and motivate drivers license vehicle insurance and ability to travel between program organized and proactive with a passion for helping others reach their employment DetailsStatus: Part-Time (approximately 20 hours per week to start with potential to expand as referrals grow)Reports to: Program Director of Vocational and Day ServicesWhy Join Us Full compensation/benefits package for full-time employees.401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holiday payPurposeful work adding value to the organizations mission alongside a great team of coworkersEnjoy job security with nationwide career development and advancement opportunitiesWe have meaningful work for you come join our team Apply Today!AMERICAN WITH DISABILITY STATEMENT External and internal applicants as well as position incumbents who become disabled must be able to perform the essential job functions either unaided or with assistance of a reasonable accommodations to be determined on a case by case basis.
