Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled HCX Migration Engineer to support the seamless migration of virtual workloads across hybrid cloud environments using VMware HCX. The ideal candidate should have experience with data center migration vSphere environments and hybrid cloud infrastructure along with a strong understanding of VMware technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan execute and manage VMware HCX migrations from on-premises to cloud or between data centers.
• Assess existing environments and determine optimal migration strategies using HCX capabilities (vMotion Cold Migration Bulk Migration Replication Assisted vMotion etc.).
• Deploy and configure HCX components (Manager Interconnect Network Extension WAN Optimization).
• Troubleshoot HCX-related issues across network compute and storage layers.
• Collaborate with infrastructure cloud and security teams to ensure successful end-to-end migrations.
• Create migration runbooks documentation and validation reports.
• Provide post-migration support and performance optimization.
• Experience Required: 3 5 years (minimum 1 2 years hands-on with HCX)

Required Skills:

• 2 years strong hands-on experience with VMware HCX vSphere vCenter ESXi.
• Familiarity with networking concepts: VPN IPsec VLAN NSX firewalls.
• 3-5 years experience in data center migrations infrastructure transformation and workload planning.
• Knowledge of storage and replication technologies is a plus.
• Good understanding of disaster recovery and BCDR strategies.
• Strong troubleshooting communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• VMware certifications such as VCP VCAP or HCX Master Specialist.
• Experience with automation tools (PowerCLI Ansible Terraform) is a bonus.
• Previous involvement in enterprise-scale migration projects
