Two Visiting Scientist positions are open in the laboratory of Dr. Paul Lieberman at the Wistar Institute in Philadelphia. Research in the Lieberman laboratory centers on understanding how cancer-associated viruses persist in a latent state and increase the risk of cancer and autoimmune disorders. The lab focuses on two human tumor viruses Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) and Kaposis Sarcoma Associated Herpesvirus (KSHV) how they persist in a latent state and drive carcinogenesis or autoimmunity ( Candidates should have a PhD (or equivalent) degree or should be close to obtaining their doctoral degree.
