Job Summary
The Vice President of Value-Based Care Impact & Strategy will lead the development and execution of strategies to assess and demonstrate the impact of value-based care across clinical financial operational quality utilization patient experience and health equity outcomes. The role will establish frameworks and measurement processes translate complex healthcare data into actionable insights and develop evidence-based value stories for payer provider executive and external audiences.
The position will work cross-functionally with clinical medical economics actuarial finance analytics operations product network growth and commercial teams to evaluate performance identify opportunities for improvement support value-based care model development and inform organizational strategy and investment decisions.
- Develop frameworks to measure the impact and value of value-based care programs.
- Define clinical financial operational quality utilization patient experience and health equity measures.
- Partner with analytical and healthcare teams to develop evidence supporting value propositions.
- Synthesize clinical financial operational and performance data into actionable insights.
- Identify key drivers of cost utilization quality and clinical outcomes.
- Use performance evidence to inform strategy program design investments products and care models.
- Develop evidence-based value stories tailored to payer provider executive and other stakeholder audiences.
- Translate complex healthcare performance results into clear executive-level narratives.
- Present value-based care impact and performance to senior executives Boards customers and external stakeholders.
- Advise leadership on value-based care performance opportunities and potential areas of risk.
- Support the strategy and evolution of value-based care models.
- Collaborate with clinical actuarial finance analytics operations product network growth and commercial teams.
- Provide payer and provider perspectives in program design operational priorities and investment decisions.
- Strengthen the quality consistency and credibility of impact measurement and value reporting.
- Translate performance evidence into actionable recommendations that strengthen organizational value and partner relationships.
- 10 years of progressive experience in value-based care healthcare economics healthcare analytics actuarial analysis outcomes research population health healthcare strategy or a related field.
- Significant experience working with or partnering with health plans provider organizations risk-bearing medical groups accountable care organizations healthcare technology companies or management services organizations.
- Deep understanding of value-based care models including total cost of care shared savings downside risk capitation quality incentives and provider performance.
- Strong understanding of healthcare claims clinical financial quality and operational data.
- Knowledge of attribution risk adjustment benchmarking trend analysis program evaluation and financial impact measurement.
- Ability to evaluate the credibility and limitations of healthcare measurement methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex clinical financial and operational results into clear and compelling value narratives.
- Experience communicating evidence of value impact or ROI to senior healthcare executives and external partners.
- Ability to translate analysis into strategic insights and actionable business recommendations.
- Experience collaborating with clinical actuarial finance analytics operations product network growth and commercial teams.
- Exceptional executive communication storytelling presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelors degree in economics statistics mathematics public health health services research actuarial science business data science or a related discipline.
- Masters degree or other advanced degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Experience with Medicaid managed care healthcare intervention evaluation causal inference or quasi-experimental study design is preferred.
