The Role:
The Vice President of Human Resources leads the full HR function and serves as a trusted partner to the President and COO and the senior leadership team. This is a hands-on leadership role. Youll own day-to-day HR execution run a lean team and turn the companys people priorities into programs processes and results. The right person is comfortable rolling up their sleeves building consistency across a growing multi-location business and earning influence through steady delivery and sound counsel.

What youll do:

Leadership

• Lead and develop the HR team including talent acquisition HR management and talent development.
• Partner with the President and COO and senior leaders to carry out people priorities that support business goals.
• Support leaders through growth and organizational change with clear communication and practical plans.
• Bring HR best practices to the business and improve consistency across departments and locations.

Culture & Engagement

• Reinforce BlueGraces values and support a collaborative inclusive workplace.
• Run engagement and culture pulse checks share findings with leadership and act on agreed priorities.

Talent Acquisition & Retention

• Oversee a high performing recruiting team tasked with bringing in top talent to the org in a high volume capacity.
• Track turnover and retention data and carry out retention initiatives.

Training & Development

• Oversee training and development programs and monitor their effectiveness and compliance.

Performance Management

• Manage and improve the performance management process so it runs consistently across the organization.

HR Compliance & Employee Relations

• Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations across all US locations and Mexico.
• Manage employee relations investigations and disciplinary processes.

HR Operations Administration & Total Rewards

• Oversee payroll benefits administration and HRIS (ADP Workforce Now).
• Manage benefits renewals and vendor selection and administer compensation plans within company policy.
• Serve as payroll backup to the HR Manager and process payroll when needed.

What youll need:

• 10 years of progressive HR experience including 5 years leading an HR function or team as a Director or above.
  • Private equity-backed company experience
  • Due diligence or M&A integration experience
  • Experience supporting or leading HR in Mexico
• Broad hands-on knowledge of HR: talent management compensation benefits recruiting employee relations and compliance.
• Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field. Masters degree or SPHR/SHRM-SCP preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of multi-state labor law and HR best practices.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now and total rewards administration.
• Solid reporting and analytics skills including strong Excel.
• Experience building and improving HR processes in a growing company.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders and work effectively within an established leadership structure.
• Strong judgment and discretion with sensitive confidential information.
• Clear written and verbal communication and strong conflict resolution skills.
• Sense of urgency attention to detail and a willingness to be hands-on.
