Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Interim VP of Home Loans to provide immediate leadership for an established financial institution in the East Bay.

This executive will oversee the home lending function with responsibility across mortgage origination underwriting servicing portfolio management pricing strategy secondary markets quality control regulatory compliance and audit. The organization maintains and services its own loan portfolio making strong portfolio-management experience particularly important.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the overall Home Loans organization and existing management team.
  • Provide strategic direction across origination underwriting servicing and portfolio management.
  • Manage performance of the home loan portfolio through changing interest-rate environments.
  • Partner with Treasury on mortgage pricing and rate strategy.
  • Oversee secondary-market activities and investor requirements.
  • Maintain strong quality-control regulatory and audit practices.
  • Drive production profitability service and operational performance.
  • Provide stability and leadership during an executive transition.
Qualifications
  • 10 years of mortgage/home lending experience preferred.
  • 5 years in senior mortgage leadership within a regulated financial institution.
  • Broad knowledge of origination servicing portfolio management pricing and secondary markets.
  • Credit union community bank or regional bank experience strongly preferred.
  • Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac and mortgage regulatory knowledge.
  • Proven ability to step into a leadership role and make an immediate impact.

The initial assignment is expected to last approximately six months with potential for a longer-term opportunity.
