Vice President – GBS Platform and Enablement Services

ROLE SUMMARY

Global Business Services (GBS) is Pfizers global engine for shared business services Procurement Financial Services Colleague Services ESG Reporting and Transformation and Project Management.

Roughly 2000 colleagues deliver these capabilities in service of Pfizers purpose: Breakthroughs that Change Patients Lives.

This role establishes and leads a new tower delivering critical enabling services across GBS: transformation AI and innovation platform support and reporting & analytics creating centralized scalable capabilities that free GBS leaders to focus on core priorities. It also owns GBS-wide performance management including internal and external benchmarking.

This role sets the strategic direction provides governance and drives operational excellence for GBS to include:

• Transformation and Project Management
• GBS AI and Technology Innovation
• Data Analytics and Insights
• Privacy and IGRM

As a member of the GBS Leadership Team the GBS Platform and Enablement Lead ensures business objectives are met and services are best in class while driving innovation and a high-performance culture globally.

The role requires close collaboration with GBS Leaders Business Unit Leaders and Digital to ensure compliant operations and transformational business strategies that drive increased value.

This is a new tower created as GBS moves from seven towers to five bringing together Transformation & Project Management platform support reporting & analytics innovation and AI activities previously spread across the organization.

Todays GBS market bar: This role is being hired against the markets shift from pilots to production AI:. The bar also includes building a function from scratch (operating model funding model service catalogue) holding a shared-service-to-the-shared-service mandate without becoming an overhead layer and running a benchmarking program that changes behavior rather than producing a report.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish and leads the Platform & Enablement Services function defining its organizational structure governance resourcing and operating model to deliver services centrally across GBS.
• Leads an inclusive high-performance culture championing diversity equity and inclusion and driving colleague engagement initiatives.
• Participates/Leads in the development of strategy for GBS and implements GBS and enterprise strategies that drive innovation CI and AI First to AI Native transformation.
• Sets the vision goals and guiding principles for the function.
• Leads both GBS and broader enterprise-wide transformation initiatives navigating complex interdependencies negotiating solutions to ensure delivery of business objectives and minimize risk to core business continuity.
• Partners with GBS Leadership and stakeholders to identify service requirements define SLAs and ensure accountability for delivery against business outcomes.
• Ensures deployment of best-in-class performance measurement strategy techniques and technology including application of data analytics and visualization to drive performance insights.
• Champions & cultivates a strong customer-centric mindset across the Platform & Enablement Services tower. Proactively engages stakeholder feedback and implements actions to drive improvements in customer satisfaction (CSAT).
• Leverages external insight to improve success of initiatives and serve as a thought leader on different topics. Challenges status quo and identifies incremental transformation and cost improvements opportunities
• Fosters a strong culture of risk awareness compliance and controls to mitigate risk to the enterprise. Promotes Pfizers open-door policy.
• Partner with Global Process Leads and other GBS functions on talent planning and development.
• Develop and sustain a pipeline of future leaders; actively coach mentor and build leadership bench-strength across a globally diverse team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree required
• MBA preferred
• 15 years relevant business experience required
• Previous work in managing in a large complex environment at a global scale
• Proven track record in designing and executing organizational transformation and associated change management.
• Proven success in leading highly skilled professionals who are leaders of leaders.
• Strong portfolio management and negotiation skills with ability to drive issues to resolution.
• Demonstrated experience leading multiple large global direct and matrixed cross functional teams
• Demonstrated experience in managing critical stakeholder relationships
• Strong understanding of technology & AI fluency
• Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers develop and coach others oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $274000.00 to $456600.00.* In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 30.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. The United States salary range provided does not apply to Tampa FL or any location outside of the United States. * The annual base salary for this position in Tampa FL ranges from $246600.00 to $411000.00.
