VFX Artist

The Nova Lab is excited to announce an opening for a VFX Artist to join our innovative team. This full-time remote position allows you to work from anywhere while contributing to cutting-edge visual effects in the thriving Information Technology industry. Located in Fairfax we are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology and creativity.

As a VFX Artist you will have the opportunity to create stunning visual effects for a variety of projects helping to elevate our digital content to new heights. You will collaborate with a passionate team of creators and technologists to deliver impactful visual experiences that resonate with our audience. We offer a competitive salary range of $100000 - $180000 annually and a culture that fosters creativity and innovation.

• Create high-quality visual effects for various projects
• Collaborate with other artists and team members to achieve project goals
• Develop and implement VFX techniques for animation and live-action
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas
• Maintain a clean and organized workflow while meeting deadlines
• Stay updated with industry trends and VFX tools
• Optimize visual effects for different platforms and devices
• Feedback and iterate on VFX to meet project requirements

• Entry-level position; relevant experience or education in VFX is a plus
• Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g. Adobe After Effects Maya)
• Basic understanding of animation principles and visual storytelling
• Strong attention to detail and creativity in design
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Portfolio showcasing previous VFX or animation work
• Familiarity with 3D modeling software is a plus
